Inside Book:

My book is an autobiography, which describes my recollection of events and experiences I have encountered throughout my life, from the time I could recall them as a child up to the present time. Some experiences were good, and unfortunately some were bad. It tells about my immediate family, my relatives, all the friends that I have met throughout my life, in all the areas I have lived, as well as at all the places I have worked. Last, but not least, I talk about all the pets I have had from the time I was young, up until the current time. It explains all the bad luck, obstacle courses, trials and tribulations and hardships I endured, and how I was able to overcome them. I sincerely hope that you find my book interesting, as well as enjoyable!

Book Summary:

A devastating accident took the life of one family member, left another in a coma, and sent me on a voyage that changed my life forever. It wasn't until that fateful day I truly believed the afterlife existed and how my life would be judged. Before the accident, everything I knew about the afterlife would have fit on the tip of a toothpick. I was never sure about whether it even existed. Now that I've had the experience, I have a different outlook altogether. We all make choices while we live out our life, and it is those choices that will decide our eternity. Some of the afterlife's mysteries are simple to understand, others not so much. It is regrettable that the only way to know for sure there is life after death is to experience it. Some, like myself, are lucky as we get to talk about it. I'm not sure if I read this book before my personal experience, I would believe a word of it. But I wrote it for those who want to know what will happen to them once their life on earth ends and what to expect once they reach the other side.

Sheed & Ward, in partnership with Commonweal magazine, presents the second of two volumes in the groundbreaking series, American Catholics in the Public Square, a project funded by The Pew Charitable Trusts. Essays by scholars, journalists, lawyers, business and labor leaders, church administrators and lobbyists, novelists, activists, policy makers and politicians address the most critical issues facing the Catholic Church in the United States. Volume 2, American Catholics, American Culture: Tradition and Resistance, is introduced by Peter Steinfels and Robert Royal. Part One, "Against the Grain," explores the philosophical and practical differences between Catholicism and American culture on issues in sexuality, marriage, abortion, stem cell research, women's rights, and physician-assisted suicide. The essays attempt to mediate the divide between Catholicism's communal and personalist view of the human person and the American preference for autonomy and pluralism. Part Two, "Popular Culture & Literature," confronts the role and interaction of the Church in popular culture and explores the identity of the "Catholic" writer on the literary page and in the media. Part Three, "Anti-Catholicism: The Last Acceptable Prejudice?" endeavors to define what anti-Catholicism is, where it is found in North American culture, what it means for maintaining group identity, and how it can be interpreted as an American or religious phenomenon.

Things Seen and Heard by Many is a collection of poetry based upon the author’s observations of people as they go about their daily lives, not knowing they are being observed. Thomas Love seeks to bring this to light to stimulate all who read the book to examine themselves and their respective lives. These are many souls we encountered through our walk through this life. Things Seen and Heard by Many chronicles their joy, pain, struggle, disappointments, and their sadness. Our Brother (Dr. Claude) We want you to know that you, our brother, have been the highlight of our lives You came from way down under, but you still reached for the sky. "Beautifully written, a highly literate story of friendship, parenthood, and every other kind of love you can imagine." —Marisa de los Santos, author of Love Walked In When Jill becomes both pregnant and single at the end of one spring semester, she and her two closest friends plunge into an experiment in tri-parenting, tri-schooling, and trihabitating as grad students in Seattle. Book Summary:

As Bhekumuzi Wuyane perches himself on the great local dome of Dombodema, he is approached by an elderly African storyteller who begins telling him about life in a harsh environment at the edge of the Kalahari Desert. Amid a backdrop filled with cunning animals, strong women, feared and adored leaders, and lovers and sworn enemies, the man relays tales of the three great kingdoms that will eventually transform Wuyane and teach him valuable life lessons. In his collection of twenty folk tales derived from that experience, Wuyane weaves the African mans stories with others, both old and new, to emphasize the rapidly fading art of passing down messages through folklore. As animals and people struggle both together and separately to overcome their challenges and survive in the desert, leadership styles, a variety of emotions, and good and evil intentions are revealed, illustrating the deeper meaning in every story told within the African culture. When the tales conclude, Wuyane meets with the older man once again, relating the treasured messages he has learned. Folktales and Other Stories from the Edge of the Great Thirst is a collection of stories with strong and timeless morals that will appeal to both current and future generations interested in fulfilling their visions.

Book Summary:

A fascinating read for anyone from general readers to hardcore fans and scholars, this encyclopedia covers virtually every aspect of the zombie as cultural phenomenon, including film, literature, folklore, music, video games, and events. The proliferation of zombie-related fiction, film, games, events, and other media in the last decade would seem to indicate that zombies are "the new vampires" in popular culture. The editors and contributors of Encyclopedia of the Zombie: The Walking Dead in Popular Culture and Myth took on the prodigious task of covering all aspects of the phenomenon, from the less-known historical and cultural origins of the zombie myth to the significant works of film and literature as well as video games in the modern day that feature the insatiable, relentless zombie character. The encyclopedia examines a wide range of significant topics pertaining to zombies, such as zombies in the pulp magazines; the creation of the figure of the zuvembie to subvert decades of censorship by the Comics Code of Authority; Humans vs. Zombies, a popular zombie-themed game played on college campuses across the country; and annual Halloween zombie walks. Organized alphabetically to facilitate use of the encyclopedia as a research tool, it also includes entries on important scholarly works in the expanding field of zombie studies. • Provides comprehensive coverage of topics about or relating to zombies in film, literature, folklore, and popular culture • Features work from contributors who are dedicated scholars, authors, or fans in the zombie genre of work • Supplies dates with all names and works to give readers a sense of the historical context and evolution of zombie lore • Includes concept entries—for example, comedy, free will, and weapons—that place works in a logical, thematic context

She is tired of being the victim and living in a cruel, crowded city where she doesn't feel like she belongs. But Liam promises her that if she only trusts him, he can change everything. And that's exactly what he attempts to do, starting with an operation to heal her eyes, and then her heart...
